Turkey’s a leaner(but just as satisfying)sub-in for ground beef, and iron-rich sourdough bread packs more of a protein punch than your standard sugary hamburger bun. today we are going to introduce you to Ground Turkey Sloppy Joes, that filled with turkey instead of meat which considered as the sloppy original ingredient. the sloppy joes first invented in America at the begging of the 20 centuries. you will enjoy the healthy tasty flavor of  the special ground turkey sloppy joes sandwich. now lets get to know the ingredients:


  1. Olive oil: 2 tbsp olive oil
  2. Onion: 1 medium yellow onion, chopped
  3. Red bell pepper: 1 red bell pepper, chopped
  4. Carrot: 1 carrot chopped
  5. kosher salt
  6. Ground pepper: fresh
  7. Garlic: 2 cloves, pressed
  8. Ground turkey: 1 lb
  9. Chili powder: 1 tbsp
  10. Ground cinnamon: 1/4 tsp
  11. Can tomato sauce: 8 ounce
  12. Sweet relish: 1/4 c
  13. Worcestershire sauce:2 tsp
  14. Vinegar: 1 tbsp
  15. Cucumbers: 3 pieces, thinly sliced
  16. Red onion:1/2 c, thinly sliced
  17. Sourdough bread: thick slices

How To Prepare

First step: heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat.

Second step: add yellow onion, bell pepper, and carrot.

Third step: season with salt and pepper. cook, stirring occasionally, until tender, 6 to 8 minutes.

Forth step: add garlic and cook, stirring occasionally, until fragrant, 30 seconds.

Fifth step: add turkey and cook, breaking it up with a spoon, until no longer pink, 4 to 6 minutes.

Sixth step: add chili powder and cinnamon, cook, stirring occasionally, 1 minute.

Seventh step: add tomato sauce and relish. simmer until beginning to thicken, 2 to 4 minutes.

Eighth step: stir in Worcestershire and 1 tbsp vinegar in a pan.

Ninth step:toss together cucumbers, red onion, and vinegar in a pan. season with salt. let sit, tossing occasionally, 4 to 6 minutes.

Tenth step: spoon meat mixture on top of toast and top with pickles.
